My Guests
22-25 August 2011
Dear Anita,
I want to thank you again for the extraordinary experience you created for us in Cracow. You not only arranged exactly the tour we wanted but you organized it beautifully. I felt that over the day and a half we spent together you created a tour that took us through the history of Cracow chronologically while it built to a crescendo of experiences that were highly personal and moving. From the visits to Wawel and the stories about your most favorite King Kazimiercz to the stories about Pope John Paul we loved getting to know you. The day of our tour through Kazimiercz, the Community Center, the Old Cemetery and the synagogues seemed to include everything we wanted to see. As wonderful as this was, however, it did not prepare me for the visit to the site of the ghetto, the Madrich house, the Schindler factory and finally Plaszow. I felt as if I was walking in the footsteps of my family and you made every bit of this journey come alive with your knowledge and communications ability. As a guide, you knew exactly what we needed to see and you presented it exquisitely. When my friends ask me about our Cracow tour I can only say that it exceeded my expectations. Both Lynn and I also felt that we had made a new friend. You were so gracious and it was a real pleasure spending time with you. Please remember us when you visit New York and don't forget to send the links to your new website. And if you get your hands on the Nigel Kennedy album, I would appreciate a copy.
With warm wishes and do widzenia, Maurice and Lynn

Hi Anita,
I had a fabulous time! I have been thinking about you every day and just started to organize my photos yesterday afternoon. You wore us out and I needed REST. I will forward some pictures to you soon. Do you have any ones in particular you might want?
Also, I checked my google history and I found you by googling "tours of Poland". Your site came up on the first page. I read it and read the review from one person then emailed you. I did not even bother to check your other sights (I didn't even see them). I already knew what I wanted to see and do, but I guess if I had looked further at your sites I would have seen that you have tours of the very things. Silly me. I'm going to go ahead and send you my favorite picture right now! loveja

I would like to thank you for the tour of Krakow last Wednesday. You were most professional and I learrned a great deal. I only wish we had had a few more days in Poland. You had mentioned that you would send me the address of your friend who is a Holocaust survivor. I am most interested in contacting him. Also, I am planning on coming back to Krakow some time this year. I am not sure when that will be but i am planning to go back to Auschwitz, this time I would like you to guide me. Again, thank you for all your help. John

We just arrived home after our trip to Poland. I would like to thank you for the tour on Wednesday. We both enjoyed it so much. I wish we had more time but perhaps I can make in back to Poland laterin the year. Please send me the name of the gentleman we talked about. Jack

Hi Anita, well I left on Friday morning as you know in bright sunshine and arrived home in the same. Can you remember what I said about Thursday afternoon's weather, the clue is in the subject box.
Thank you for making the tours interesting and fun, I have told my son about the 16th century McDonalds we found as well as the other information, including how the dragon "flame grilled" the burgers ( my English humour again)
I have just downloaded the photo's onto my computer (that sounds very professional)but don't hold your breath or retire soon as sending them to you could take some time, but you will get them even if I have to send you actual photo's. Once again thank you and I will keep in touch if you don't mind and if you do I will still keep in touch ( more humour)
Regards Brian

Anita, we had a fantastic weekend and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Krakow. Auschwitz was moving & thought provoking, the salt mines were simply amazing! Everyone loved the evening spent in Aerial, especially the concert. - obviously I contacted other Guides for quotes but your service and the clear passion you have for your City and your job just shines through, you are very good.
Thank you very much from us all x Phil Delaney

Anita, Thanks again for the tour of the Jewish Ghetto this weekend. It was very informative and later that afternoon we were overwhelmed with even more information in Auschwitz and Birkenau. These are experiences we'll never forget, so thank you. Good luck with your lecture at Princeton!
Best wishes, Ryan, Matt, and Jack

Dear Anita
Our trip to Auschwitz and Birkenau was really emotional but also really great. I saw parts of Birkenau that I had not yet visited and somehow I was able to absorb more of what we saw this time than I had been able to do last time. And you were a superb guide! I did have an excellent guide last time too, but you were just wonderful and Emelien and I both felt as though we had a friend with us on this special day, so thank you for that! The web address is: http://www.mytravelkit.org Anyway - I hope that you are doing well, and thank you again very warmly for looking after us so very well. If you'd like me to recommend you, either on your website or in some other format, please let me know and I'd be very happy to write something nice for you! :-))
Warm greetings from a cold and wet Bristol! Annemieke

Warm Greetings Anita,
Hope you have recovered from the shock of the crash/accident last week. Here are some of the photos I took on our tour – The ones you are in. They are not up to my usual standard and I can only plead a new camera! We enjoyed the time you spent with us and the walk around your city, it was informative and also great fun. Thank you. We hope to return to Cracow one day in the near future and will certainly take advantage of your knowledge when we do. Meantime, if you get across here, please look us up – you will get a bed for the night and some English food and visit my pub! Great to have met you, Anita.
Keep well. Keith & Diane

Dear Anita
I expect you will have heard from Di and Keith and Sue and John about the wedding but it was wonderful. We so enjoyed ourselves, our train journey was good but we did have to change trains. Fortunately for us when the guard came round someone sitting next to me spoke English and gave us a translation but it was quite easy to get the right train up to Bedzin and time for a cup of tea as well. You were right about the menu for the wedding. Chicken noodle soup, chicken and pork with lots of veg etc, little cakes and fruit, coffee, icecream. Then about an hour later platters of cold meat and salads and things in aspic jelly, and the same again after about another hour, wedding cake which was a huge affair with fireworks on it, at about midnight a bowl of steaming soup arrived followed by pork chops and veg at about 1.30!!! We had to pass on that one. There was gallons of wine and vodka and fortunately lots of soft drinks as well. It was all great fun with lots of games and dancing and although we went to bed at about 2.0, the dancing went on til about 5.00!!! Alfred and I bumped into Di and Keith this morning and they got home late last night having loved their stay in Poland and they told us all about their tour with you and how much they had enjoyed the Salt Mines. Thank you so much for making our stay in Krakow so enjoyable
I am sure we will be back. Sue

Hi Anita
Just so let you know I have arrived safe & sound back in the UK (flight delayed only 1 ½ hours!) and that Sue & Alfred are safe & sound in their hotel, ready for the wedding! Wanted to say a big THANK YOU for the tours and for showing us YOUR Poland. Have just returned from my local pub where I have to say the Vodka is not as strong as yours! I did really have a lovely visit to Poland, and I’m sure I will return sometime in the future with my Grand-children, when I hope you will show them Poland as well, Sue still has not brought her piece of amber, so maybe she will have to return as well. Thanks a again for all your help, information and off course the vodka. Hope all goes well with your future
Kind regards Vivian

Hi Anita:
Am home, unpacked and ready to once again travel. This was my 19th trip to Europe. I have traveled alone, with friends, with my wife, in groups and guided tours (on a bus) Your attention to detail, the knowledge you have and your sweet pleasant way made this trip out of the ordinary. I can not thank you enough for the 4 days you spent with the three of us. We talked about it all the way home last night. Yes, the plane as usual was late. We got your photos, how great. Anita, if anyone wants to call me to ask me about you and your tours, please ask them to call my toll free number here in New York. It is 1 888 676 8433. My email address is aarmourmpo@aol.com. If they book with anyone but you, they are missing out on the best Guide in Krakow, (with a K) You will have to explain to those who may read this that we kidded about you spelling Krakow with a C and not a K. Thanks again. I hope we can cross paths once again real soon.
My best to you, Allan Armour, New York City.

Hi Anita,
Just a quick thanks for such a brilliant tour you gave on Saturday. As you know we had been to Krakow before, and had a tour, however your tour was much more interesting, frendly and in more detail on the great choice of areas you chose to show us. Your tour was part of my son's 21st birthday treat, and what a treat it was! We'll certainly recommend you to anyone we know visiting in the future.
Thanks again, Lewis (the older Lewis)
Anita,
I'm just writing to say thankyou very much, your tour was great and I really had a good day in Cracow, I just wish I could have had longer there I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Poland, and when I come back I will be sure to contact you to be our guide again!
Thanks again, and I hope you are well. Lewis (the younger one)

Anita,
Yes, we are well. Our entire trip was good except that it rained or snowed every day. Cracow was a fun city. The food was excellent - just like my mother and grandmother cooked. Thank you for taking care of everything. Gerry

Hello Anita, so lovely hearing from you. We really had a wonderful time in Cracow, and we talk a lot about it. I’m sure some of us will come back some time – perhaps not this year but you never know. The spring is coming here as well, and I love it. I like the flowers coming and more light and more sun . and less snow… I’ll give your regards to everyone tomorrow. Warm regards from Maybel

We are on our way back to the US. Thanks for the city tour and tour of Auschwitz/Berkenhau and for arranging the tour to Jarnsa Gorne. The monk who took us around was great. He even got us up on the altar to see the icon. I'll send your regards to Eddy. Frank and Stephanie |
