During this 20-minute presentation we are going to present 3 methods ( water, fire and electrostatic ) of how to distinguish differences between fake and authentic, natural amber. Moreover, everyone gets to learn about the history of the most interesting pieces of amber, which is being called the Baltic pearl, and to get to see many genuine amber jewellery pieces, in which you can find tiny little inclusions trapped inside by the very nature millions of years ago.
In each piece that you buy at our store our goldsmith will put a little, red, natural ruby from the inner side of the jewellery, so that it touches the skin. It is a gift from the store, as we believe that it brings good luck and will be an unforgettable souvenir.
What actually is the Baltic amber („Baltic gold”) – a type of amber, fossil resin, that has been created naturally millions of years ago – that might be even 40-90 millions of years ago!
